Reviews - What do customers think about Rococco (Agile Rabbit Editions)?
Unimpressive selection from a lovely period Sep 7, 2007
I bought this volume in hope of finding useful Rococo designs. Unfortunately most of the designs are rather uninspiring. The last part of the book is taken up with very dull wallpaper patterns.
There must be a wealth of beautiful engravings from this period out there, unfortunately you will not find them in this book.
The resolution of the 'hi-res' black and white images on the CD should have been higher.

This is the first book by the Pepin Press I have been disappointed in... So not bad. I expected great things out of this book and was saddened to see that the representations of Rococco were dull and uninspiring, and a very poor representation of this decadent and "over-the-top" era of style. Better luck next time.
