Shortcuts To Happiness - a great book! Aug 25, 2006
This is a great little book! I only read it a couple of weeks ago, but it has really got me thinking, and trying to live more in the present than ever before......and it's working. I'm also using the advice to get all the negative thoughts out of my head, and that is working too. For anyone looking for a self help guide to the pursuit of happiness, there is no better place to start than with this book.
This simple "How To" Manual really does work! Aug 14, 2006
I am employed at the same college with the author of this book, Dr. Bob Sutherland, and can personally testify that the advice and suggestions contained in the book can change your life as it did mine. Dr. Bob is one of the most beloved professors on campus and his students are constantly singing his praises because they say his course has changed their lives forever. Dr. Bob is always sharing words of wisdom with his staff and students alike. I can say, without any reservation, that applying the principles contained in this little book had a profound effect on me. As a result, I have learned to live "in the moment," to take a second look at outdated beliefs that don't make sense, to stop listening to the negative "chatter in my head," and ultimately to enjoy true happiness regardless of the ups and downs of life.
