Item description for Comes a Horseman by Robert Liparulo...
Overview FBI agents Brady Moore and Alicia Wager are accustomed to grisly crimes like the so-called Pelletier Killings. But when the pair uncovers ancient prophecies that link the victims, the wrath of the killers turns on them. Reeling from a series of attempts on their lives, they follow a scant trail of evidence that leads them to Luco Scaramuzzi, the charismatic Italian ambassador to Israel-a man of near limitless power and incalculable wealth. A devoted network of followers fulfill his every desire and await the day that his power will be unleashed on an unsuspecting world. Eventually, Brady and Alicia learn the secret that can bring him down. If only Brady can act before his own anger and confusion burn him up. If only Alicia can accept a truth that contradicts her strongest belief. From the forested mountains of Colorado and the halls of the U.S. government's most clandestine agency, to the Vatican's mysterious L'Archivio Segreto and the labyrinthine caves under Jerusalem, this global thriller will rattle even the most skeptical soul.

Comes A Horseman Oct 23, 2009
This book is spellbinding! Finished it cover to cover in two days...all 620 pages. I am now looking for another book from Robert Liparulo to immerse myself in!
A Page Turner! Oct 14, 2009
An intense, thrilling, and purposeful ride. I enjoyed this book from start to finish. It's not the genre I typically indulge in, and I was very impressed.
Take the time Oct 4, 2009
This book sat on my shelf for two years. I kept putting off reading it because of its six hundred pages plus length. My mistake. This is a novel you want to be long because you don't want it to end. I loved it.
Wonderful adventure. Sep 20, 2009
I have read Robert Liparulo's stories for young adults and they were wonderful. This adventure is for the more mature reader and it is on par with Dan Brown for mystery, fast paced adventure, and well developed characters.
The story revolves around ancient prophies, wealthy people obsessed with power, and the virtuous (as much as we humans can be) FBI agents who are trying to track down a serial killer. The more they dig, the more complicated the case and they succeed in becoming targets themselves.
I would definitely classifiy it as a page turner and recommend it to advid readers like myself.
Scary, Intense, Intriguing Sep 6, 2009
The beginning was surprisingly graphic and I really wondered what I had gotten myself into. But I had promised a friend I would read it and I don't give up easy. I continued and enjoyed it more as I read more. Reminds me of Ted Dekker's books--I love his work! I know it's Christian Fiction, but I had hoped there would be a little more of a salvation message to it in contrast to all the anti-Christ hoopla. At 619 pages, it was the longest book I've ever read, but it was intense and held my attention throughout. I'd call it conspiracy theory/murder-mystery/spiritual warfare without all the sex, swearing, etc. of secular authors. I would recommend it to an adult audience wholeheartedly.
