Item description for JOYCE'S ARK by Robert J. Molinari...
"When you get to the tepee stop the car." These words were part of the directions given to us when we were looking for Joyce's first horse. A snow-covered young filly found us and changed our lives forever. Joyce's Ark is a heartwarming true story of one woman and her love of God and animals. Over the span of thirty-five years she has cared for, nurtured, and loved over 70 animals. Horses, dogs, and cats were the main critters, but there were ducks, a sheep, goats, rabbits, a turkey, and a bunch of pigeons. It is a love story that will make you laugh and cry and marvel at her grit and determination. If you love animals and have pets of your own, this book is a must read. Share in the laughs and tears on this Journey to the Rainbow Bridge. Robert Molinari is a retired development and public relations director for several major non-profit organizations, one of which was a zoo society. He is a nationally known development workshop trainer and motivational speaker who has lived with his wife, Joyce, on a 17-acre farm in upstate New York for the past 25 years. She is a retired middle school English teacher. For the past 35 years they have been the owners and caregivers for many animals and are currently very busy taking care of their present pets: three horses, two dogs, and a new kitten.

Reviews - What do customers think about JOYCE'S ARK?
Joyce's Ark Feb 20, 2008
When purchasing this book I was looking forward to learning about the animals the Molinaris had adopted and their different personalities. It turned out to be so much more! Many of us have gone through lean years and some hardships while trying to accomplish our goals, but this couple seemed to have had more than their share. I was impressed by the way they were able to overcome each obstacle with imagination, dignity and fortitude. They worked very hard together, yet the main caregiver of the ark was often Joyce when her husband was traveling with his job. In most cases each new animal was readily accepted by the others, but they were all immediately loved and appreciated by their "parents". Joyce's Ark is also a tribute to the institution of marriage and to the importance of friends and good neighbors in our lives. I enjoyed the author's engaging writing style and sense of humor and hope he'll consider a future book on another aspect of his interesting life.
Joyce's Ark Feb 7, 2008
You don't have to be an animal owner to enjoy the trials and tribulations of the Molinaris during their 35 years of marriage, but it certainly doesn't hurt. This is a heartwarming story of love, strength, and laughter. Add just a touch of sorrow into the mix and you come up with an outstanding tale of life with God's creatures. With Robert's determination, Joyce's grit, and their combined love for each other and a multitude of "kids", Joyce's Ark is a must read that you will not be able to put down. It is an excellent book for adults and children alike. A truly "rare find"!
