Item description for Transformation by Robert Carr...
A Story of Transformation and Salvation "I had no idea of the intimate reality and power of the Holy Spirit. Although I mouthed words about such things in hymns, and went through the motions of worship, my real hope and belief was in myself." "Then her turn came and she went into the chest high water. Karen had a glow about her as if she was sixteen again when I first saw her as a teenage beauty. I could virtually feel the healing in the air." This is a story of a couple who were transformed and saved by the power of the Holy Spirit. They had successful careers, a good marriage, a perfect family, a beautiful home, and a nice church, but in reality they were on a treadmill going downhill - until something wonderful happened.

Reviews - What do customers think about Transformation?
Transformation.... Nov 24, 2005
Success in the eyes of the world... President of a multi-national company, a beautiful home and family, etc ...but something was missing. This book is an honest and unpretentious account of one family's journey from the American dream to a life of fulfillment and renewal that they never imagined.
Robert's story is a wonderful illustration of a personal God who desires to make Himself known to mankind. What really struck me when reading his narrative was the process of salvation that God patiently works in a willing heart. Robert explains this process in his own life in a way that is very logical and easy to relate to for the believer and unbeliever alike. Having considered himself a Christian for many years, Robert describes a series of events that led his family to know Christ in a way that went far beyond being faithful hymn-singing churchgoers.
As a "thirty-something" reader with young children, this book caused me think about what is important in life, and the message is clear... There is nothing at the top of the corporate ladder that brings true happiness. Life begins when we discover something that is greater than ourselves.
