Publishers Weekly can give you the plot synopsis better than I, so I won't bother.
There are so many glaring errors in the time line of this book that they prove to be distractions. Publishers Weekly mentions one, the blowing up of a 747 by a Muslim terrorist in 1965. The 747 didn't enter commercial service until 1970 and Muslim terrorists were concentrating on Israel in 1965, not airplanes. Another reference is made to one of the agents carrying a Desert Eagle pistol. This, too, doesn't fit the time frame of the novel. The Desert Eagle wasn't developed until 1983. A reference to Dirty Harry in 1967. He was a '70's phenomenon. Those are just a few of the many time line errors in this book.
The plot itself is nothing special. The action thriller is a very tough genre for a novelist. There are many established writers who excel in this area. While I am always looking for an author with a new 'hook', this book does not fill the bill.
