Item description for Setting the Table by Claudia Camp, Rita N. Brock & Serene Jones...
Overview Once upon a time, "woman theologian" would have been a contradiction in terms. No more! Today, women have become very much a part of mainline Protestant thought, bringing new and sometimes startling perspectives to age-old discussions. This collection of essays offers a dynamic look at the emerging consciousness of feminist theology, how it has grown, and how it is creating a new vision for the church. "It was sometimes disturbing, sometimes confirming, but always hospitable. These women shed new light on old texts, acknowledging all the while that we have much to learn from each other on the way to Truth."
