Reviews - What do customers think about Purpose Driven Life Journal?
The Purpose-Driven Life Jan 3, 2007
It is an informative and celebration of life experience. The Bible versus and explanations helped me tremendously to understand the Bible. The author has great insight into life and the Bible. Emily Stefanus
This is the JOURNAL, not the BOOK May 7, 2006
My review somehow got deleted, so...second try.
I really liked this journal as a companion to the book. I spent many afternoons before work reading the book at Starbucks and taking notes in the journal. The journal gives enough space to write most days. Sometimes I did run out of pages, though.
It's peppered with Bible verses from the day's lesson and key points to remember. At the end of each of the semi-blank pages is a prayer focussing on the main points. I found praying these helpful.
All in all, worth the price I paid because it when I read the key points in the journal and took notes it helped to solidify the day's reading in my mind.
A lot of money for a blank journal Oct 25, 2005
The book is great -- I've got no complaints about that. The *journal* however, confirms my cynical opinion that Christian literature (heck... any "Christian" product for that matter) is massively over-hyped and over-marketed. Here's my beef: Every chapter of the journal presents just a single question, then provides a couple of pages for notes. This same question is already at the end of each corresponding chapter of the book. Does anyone really need to drop another ~$10 for that?!
Breath of fresh air Sep 18, 2003
I am two days away from finishing this book and I think it is one of the most inspirational and practical books on how to live a life pleasing to God that I have ever read. It's changed my perspective on the Great Commission and my role in helping to save souls; it has inspired me and shown me how to be a better Christian; it's simply a great book and a great guide - - one I will refer to often. I highly recommend this book to new Christians and seasoned Christians who want a deeper walk with God Almighty - with the I Am That I Am.
Get the journal as well! Sep 10, 2003
This book is well designed, having space for me to add my own thoughts, beliefs and hopes. I learned from it. I highly recommend the journal that accompanies it.
