Comprehensive Beginners Guide Nov 2, 2007
This book seems to cover all the bases for a beginning runner. It has info on everything from getting ready to start running to finishing a marathon. It also has good info on running safely in hot or cold weather and avoiding injuries. There is an 8 week learn to run program, but what I really like are the sections on continuing to improve and become more fit. There is a really nice chart on possible future running goals and the commitment it takes to reach them. Overall a very good book for beginners.
