Publishers Description From the very beginning of Creation God planned an Eternal Marriage with redeemed man. The spiritual concept of this Divine Marriage follows the natural in that planning and preparing for the wedding demands rehearsing. God gave His Bride-to-be seven major festival appointments designed as rehearsals for the wedding. These are Holy Rehearsals that God has given mankind to learn and experience His Plan. These Rehearsals include the feasts of Passover, Unleavened Bread, Firstfruits, Pentecost, Trumpets, Atonement, and Tabernacles. The material covered in this book is based upon the Scripture coupled with ancient rabbinic commentaries and interpretation. No matter the person, this book is a challenge for God's people, Jew or Gentile, to get ready for His coming in whatever manner they perceive His arrival. The author upholds that believers in God are responsible for preparing themselves annually through the Divine Appointments of the Festivals. Rick Deadmond would come to know and serve the Lord at a very young age, even taking the initiative to teach his peers at age eleven. Rick would go on to get a B.S. in Chemical Engineering in 1987 and served the chemical industry traveling nationwide in systems design. Rick entered the ministry and Pastored in Iowa and Illinois for about five years. In 1997 the Lord called Rick out of the pulpit and into study to relearn the Gospel in its Hebraic context until 2004; exactly seven years after the Sabbatical began. Since that time Rick has been very active in Messianic ministry, and continues to distinguish himself in Christian and Jewish circles by his study and understanding of rabbinic literature and Biblical research. Rick makes his home in Rockford, Illinois with his wife Rhonda and their two adopted sons Tyler and Trever.

A Marriage Made In Heaven May 7, 2007
This is one of the best books I have read that was written by a Gentile believer in Yeshua [Jesus] regarding the Plan of God set forth through the Festivals of the Bible. The author is definitely a student of the ancient rabbinic writings and teachings. Because of this work I now understand more clearly the why and what of the festivals as given by God to Israel.
The New Testament calls Yeshua the Passover and Firstfruits of the resurrection, both terms associated with the first two festivals of the annual cycle. Why did Yeshua's death and resurrection coincide with the Passover season as described in the New Testament? Why does much of today's Christianity divorce itself from the Passover? The writer shows how the festivals are still relevant to the New Testament faith!
This book makes sense of the Passover in ways this reader had never considered before. The writer presents the evidence that the seven festivals of God are wedding rehearsals for the eschatological wedding between God and His people. At His first coming Yeshua fulfilled the Passover with His death. He was buried on Unleavened Bread. He arose from the dead on the Firstfruits festival. Fifty days later He sent the Holy Spirit at Pentecost. The author successfully shows that Yeshua fulfilled the spring festivals at their exact appointed times. He projects into the future that His second arrival will coincide with the fall festivals at their exact appointed times of Rosh Hashana, Yom Kippur, and Tabernacles. This book is filled with amazing Biblical facts and teachings and has a most awesome bibliography for every chapter.
After reading this book, one will want to find ways to celebrate the festivals every year so that they can rehearse the "marriage" Plan of God. I will never read the Bible in the same way again.
