Item description for The Reformation's Conflict with Rome: Why It Must Continue! by Robert L. Reymond...
Overview Written in an inoffensive yet honest way, Robert Reymond has studied the essential divisions between Roman Catholics and the Reformed church to find out the real issues and points of conflict. Reymond looks at historical yet honest watersheds of doctrine, the development of Roman Catholic authority and contemporary attempts at rapprochement (including "Evangelicals and Catholics Together" and Robert Sungenis' "Not by Faith Alone'). In doing so he helps us understand the great truths of salvation worked out through the sacrifice of Jesus, the Messiah. This is a book to work through thoughtfully so that clearer understanding can aid future developments.
Publishers Description The second book in the series following on from the bestselling Rainforest AdventuresChildren are fascinated with the natural world around them and with facts and information about animals that they have never seen. However often good nature programmes on T.V. or articles in magazines centre on evolution and completely ignore the Creator. Each story has a Bible verse and lesson for the reader to take away. Written by someone who spent his life in the Rainforest this book has the added benefit of being written by someone who has been there lived there and experienced the culture not just someone who has read the encyclopaedias.

Reviews - What do customers think about Reformation's Conflict With Rome, The?
A thorough and thoughtful critique Mar 26, 2002
In this short book, Reymond does a wonderful job of critiquing the official positions of the Roman church in light of the Bible and church history. I believe members of the Roman church would find this book a difficult read because it says so many things that go against what their church has taught them, but Reymond's solid and thorough arguments are difficult to reject. He doesn't find just one verse or historical fact as support for his position; rather, he backs up what he says with verse after verse, history after history, in his customary thoughtful style. This book is a MUST READ for Protestants who want to want to understand the doctrine of Rome and its inherent problems. Members of the church of Rome, I recommend that you read this book, too. Even though it won't be easy, I think you, too, will find it profitable.
