Item description for Managing the Madness: From Addictions to Devotions by III Revel Dawson...

When Revel Dawson's life had become filled with sex, booze and drugs he contemplated suicide to rid himself of the shame, guilt and self-hatred. In Managing the Madness he reveals how the physical and sexual abuse he endured as a child pushed him into a life of lies and sin. Now a therapist and addictions specialist, Revel teaches ways of controlling the pain and madness that can consume us and lead us to harmful addictions.

Publishers Description
Imagine being a six-year-old boy going to bed in fear of the night. Fearful of what physical and demonic attacks would come. Being sexually and physically abused to a point in which Revel explains as nothing but an all out attack to destroy one of God's children through others' physical and sexual assaults. In his book, Revel takes you on a journey of the abuse, pain, and many failed attempts of suicide, physical, and psychological mutilation he went through. With such a horrific past, Revel could not hide from the damage nor could he "Manage the Madness" that resulted from all the physical and sexual abuse. Sex, Drugs and many Infidelities were to be his ultimate end until God's Mercy and Grace found him and drew him into His arms. With Revel's painful experiences and with his own addictions combined with his knowledge as therapist, we will learn ways of "Managing the Madness" in our lives that results from our pain and addictions. 'Dr. Revel has added another tool to the prayer and meditation toolbox of recovery with this book.' Brian Fingerson, BS, PhD, RPh 'Once you possess the revelation knowledge in this book, you will no longer bow down to the devices of the enemy... you will possess all that God promised you.' Bishop Grivas K. Musisi Founder & Overseer Prayer Palace Ministries Kampala, Uganda, East Africa 'Revel brings such a refreshing transparency to a very hidden subject in the church. It is in such openness and transparency that the church as a whole can be set free. Even if you have not been abused as a child, I would recommend this book to give you the knowledge and tools to help others in this area of bondage and deliverance.' George Nobile, M.D, Elder New Life Church
