Item description for The Bible Versus Dispensational Eschatology by Rev John C. Egerdahl...
Overview We should not play Ping-Pong with God's Word. There is a biblical principle of rightly dividing the Word of Truth. What an interesting concept-"rightly" understanding truth. In this book, John C. Egerdahl defends the Christian faith as it relates to biblical eschatology (the end times) and points out specific aspects of dispensational theology that have distorted the truth of the Word of God. He notes that since the Holy Spirit is the inspirer of the Word of God and is the Spirit of truth, He cannot be the author of two views that are diametrically opposed. Both views may be wrong, but both cannot be scriptural. Egerdahl holds that the biblical evidence is conclusive and the scriptures should be read and studied within their context. This book helps level the playing field, overcoming the problem of the popular religious media's bias. In our society's political correctness, truth is not relevant, but altered by interpretation or monetary motivation. Consequently, the essence of truth can be lost in the dust of diplomacy. Here is the other side of the story, which has in part been kept hidden from the people in the pew. "It is the glory of God to conceal a matter; to search out a matter is the glory of kings" (Prov. 25:2). This book assists serious students by providing tools to discover the treasures in a restored Bible.
Publishers Description A defense of the Christian faith, this study of the Scriptures will shed light on the origin and doctrines of dispensationalism.

What Saith Scripture? Mar 20, 2008
Finally someone has the courage to dispel the mythology of millenialist, end-times nonsense from the last century. Using scripture only, Rev. Egerdahl dismantles the whole elaborate dispensational man-made theology from Scofield through Lindsay up to today and clearly shows that we don't have to wait a thousdand years to know the end of His-story. Although there are many scripture quotes, it will be helpful to have your Bible handy for citations not directly quoted in the text. This is a great read if you're into this sort of thing, and if you are currently a Millenialist of any stripe, this book will change your theology and your perspective -- if not your life.
