Item description for Blessed Be Your Name (Revised) by Matt Redman & Beth Redman...
Overview Redman uses the words of his Dove Award-winning song, "Blessed Be Your Name," to explore how to stand in the place of praise even in the face of hardship and pain.
Publishers Description Worship is always a choice. During peaceful and pain-free times, the choice to respond to God in thanksgiving and praise may be relatively easy. But at other painful or confusing times in our lives, the choice to worship is a costly act of devotion. In the life of every worshiper there will come times when worship meets with suffering. In Blessed Be Your Name, Matt and Beth Redman use the words of their inspiring song to explore how to stand in the place of praise even in the face of hardship and pain. Focusing on the Psalms, many of which were written out of struggle, the Redmans share from their own experience and show how painful circumstances and our choices can either propel us toward God or away from Him, build up our faith or break it. Learn how to ride out the storms of life saying "Blessed be Your name, Lord" and mean it.
Community Description On one hand, Matt and Beth Redman's choice to open with their song "Blessed Be Your Name," which won the Dove Award, an award for Christian music, gives the listening experience focus that could not be found in a book. On the other hand, though they talk about the need to fully feel the traumas of the world and the need to worship joyfully, the couple's voices seem distant and lacking any intense emotion. The result renders their thoughts on the very important events of our time--contemporary tragedies and spiritual responses to them--uninvolved and unconvincing.

Reviews - What do customers think about Blessed Be Your Name (Revised)?
Excellent Book! Dec 9, 2005
I must say: I only buy books that I'm drawn to buy, not by just some simple emotion but I buy books that I really think -after praying- can be spiritually meaningful to my life in a particulary given moment. You see, some books can be a distraction and keep you of reading The Book you should be reading: The Bible. This one, you should read.
After hearing for the 1st time the song "Blessed Be The Name", I was touched and felt impelled to study the Bible and read all those passages that were somehow implied to in the song. Oh what a blessing! King David; Joseph, Job, a few psalmists, I found out I am not alone in this 'dark hour' of my life. I too, have chosen to say 'blessed be His Name'.
This book is definitely what I was waiting for. Deeply recommended.
