Overview Presents a spiritual self-help guide for pre-adolescent girls involving what God looks for in a woman and helps them to develop self-respect and become confident young women.
Publishers Description Our middle school girls are told a lot about who they re supposed to be. Media and culture have a great influence over how they behave, dress, and think, and more often than not, it s not a very becoming image. For anyone who works with middle school girls, you want to help them become something more---the young women God has created them to be. Becoming book 1 is an eight-week study that will help young girls discover who they truly are, and help them see who they can become. Using games, activities, quizzes, projects and crafts, movie clips, music, and stories, you ll get your girls involved in a study that will help them find their true value. In this study, your small group of middle school girls will: * know their true value and develop self-respect * gain a godly perspective on body image and modesty * learn to set goals and boundaries * begin to understand their feelings * accept who they are Show the girls in your group that becoming a woman is about more than clothes, makeup, and boyfriends. Help them understand what it means to become a woman of God. ** After you ve shown girls how to become women of God, take them to the next step. In Becoming book 2, they ll learn how to deal with everyday life issues like godly young women."

Becoming A Young Woman of God May 18, 2010
I really love this book and so do my middle school girls. We are in week 4 and they are completely loving every aspect of it. The book was in excellent condition when I purchased it. I couldn't be happier with my product. Thanks!!!
Great Resource Apr 21, 2010
I bought this along with other curriculums to look around and see which one was more suited for a girls lock-in. I was able to get many ideas from this study. I loved that it has games relevant to the topic and even movie clip references. I would want to use it for a girls bible study eventually. It's pretty detail and there's very little prep. If you are afraid of teaching or are a novice, this is a great resource as it tells you exactly what to say, word for word. My only complaint is that it's marketed for middle school age, but I would have to edit some things out in order to make it age appropriate. It is perfect for high school girls.
Awesome study for girls today! Sep 13, 2008
This book is just what our girls need today. Letting them know that they are more than just something to look at - and that God wants so much more for their lives!! My small group loved this study - it was fun and they really learned so much about who they want to be.
