Without a doubt, the finest piece of nature captured not only in stunning photographs (many by Ralph himself) however the text is a must read to capture the true escense of Ralph and his skills and talents as a naturalist. Reading this book feels like your are walking right next to Ralph as he treks the widerness of Montana describing the surroundings through his eyes and knowledge that he possesses. No stone, plant, feather, or animal is left unturned. Well written! Fantastic reading!

I live in Montana. Ralph Waldt expressed what it's like to live here and walk those trails and see the animals much better than I ever could. Oh, and his photos are just awesome.
