Go Emily!!! Apr 23, 2006
I loved it! It was soo magical and Emily is my favourite character. In the beggining of the book some odd and strange things happen to Emily as she goes to this one marching band at her school in the football game. This harpy is sorta stalking Emily and teriozzing her by singing these songs that sound bad out of tune. Meanwhile new refunges come to Ravenswood and also this weird horse that Emily goes and tries to help. As she does the harpy comes to Emily again as well as this Flobbin(which is this huge frog that loves Kara lol). Her friends try to make the dreamcather stronger. Later Emily relizes that the horse is really a beautiful unicorn and her horn was brutially cut off by the Dark Sorceress. Later Emily and the unicorn sorta bond and banish the harpy. A must read for any Emily or Avalon fan!
The best book in the series so far!! Nov 11, 2005
I loved this book! To the beggining and end I enjoyed it.Emily the healer has normal things to do, heal sick animals, take care the Pet Place, Emily though soon is figures out she is being watched but by who? Later Emily meets with a beatutiful unicorn Lorieli. But the unicorn is sick and frigtened. Emily must heal the unicorn and find out it secret before someone else will come first.
I liked it Jul 2, 2005
I liked this book. But even though it's 'supposedly' about Emily, her role is equal to Adriane's and Kara's. That ticks me off, because we've had a book for Adriane, we've had one for Kara. Emily hardly ever gets credit or a major role.
Another thing I didn't like was there wasn't too much of a plot in my eyes.
But it was written well, and that made it worth my while.
My favorite in the series!!!!!!!!!!!! Jan 15, 2005
This book, besides Cry of the Wolf, has to be my favorite in the Avalon serial. It's colorful and catchy, and puts what we've learned in the last three books on the table. Emily: can heal animals and has a deep empathy with them. Has a close relationship to Ozzie the elf/ferret (???). Has a rainbow jewel. Adriane: can control things around her and can also battle with her magic. Bonded to Stormbringer the mistwolf. Has an amber and brown tigereye jewel called the wolfstone. Kara: We don't know much about her yet, but she can make other's magic stronger. Bonded to Lyra. No jewel--yet.
This book is really Emily's since it tests--and strengthens--her fate in herself and the magic, which we find out is merely controlled by the magic stones. The real magic is always inside of you, no matter what it is. It is this that she must teach a lost, hornless unicorn called Lorelei. And we also learn some shocking news about the vital web of magic--it's falling apart. And with the fairimentals missing...well, Emily, Ozzie, Adriane, Stormbringer, Kara, Lyra, Zach, and the Drake are kind of on their own. Can three girls stop an evil harpy from capturing the web's only hope of survival?
This book was exciting and well-written. Avalon fans rejoice!
THE BEST BOOK YET!!!!!!!!!!!!! Oct 7, 2004
This is my absolute favorite book of all time!!!!!!!!! It is about Emily and her amazing bond with the unicorn Lorelei. She must protect The unicorn from dangers that are unknown. Will she be able to do it? I won't give it away but there is a great ending. This is the best Avalon book yet!!!!! You have to read it!!!!!!!
