Reviews - What do customers think about Forgotten Realms - The Legend Of Drizzt Volume 4: The Crystal Shard (Forgotten Realms)?
hm Apr 5, 2008
not to down the author but i completely expected this to be an actual book....do not be fooled its a comic book
Something of a disappointment. Mar 4, 2008
I had enjoyed the Legend of Drizzt series, but hadn't expected the radical shift in art for this volume. The previous art, while feeling anime inspired, had a certain unique feel which made it reasonably worthwhile. The story itself for the Crystal Shard has a somewhat stilted feel compared to the original novel and the change in art has left Drizzt looking old, worn and far less handsome than in the previous volume.
Fantastic! Dec 24, 2007
Drizzt Do'Urden has left Menzoberranzan, the Drow Elf city of his birth, hoping to find some place where he can feel at home. But, perhaps there is to be no home for Drizzt. And now he has become a ranger, scouring the wastelands of the north for any threat to the peaceful people who live nearby.
But, peace and safety are about to become commodities in short supply. An ancient and powerful relic has been found, and an apprentice wizard now has power beyond his wildest dreams. Will Drizzt be able to rally the good people he tries to protect, and see them through the greatest crisis imaginable? Read this and find out!
R.A. Salvatore's Drizzt Do'Urden stories have been a perennial favorite with fantasy story readers, well known for their action and for their gripping storylines. Now, Devil's Due Publishing has brought out this, the fourth(!) Drizzt Do'Urden story in graphic novel format, and I must say that it is every bit as fantastic as the first! They did a terrific job of capturing Mr. Salvatore's characters, and I thought that the illustration work was excellent.
So, if you are a fan of R.A. Salvatore, or are just a fan of great fantasy, then get this book. You will not be disappointed!

I enjoyed ethe book it came to me in a timely fashion and without any damage.
great graphic novel Sep 24, 2007
I have been a fan of the The Legend Of Drizzt for a long time. The fact that they are now in a graphic novel version makes it all better. It was these novels that made me a fan of the Forgotten Realms as a whole.
