Item description for Israel The Church And The Jews by James Jacob Prasch...
Overview In his new book, Israel, the Church and the Jews, Jacob Prasch explains how contemporary Middlle Eastern events fulfill biblical prophecy. Just as Israel experienced repercussions for their renunciation of religious faith and moral decline, current Christian democracies are beginning to experience similar repercussions for disgressing from their biblical heritage and moral backslide. Prasch discusses the significance of current political events such as the Annapolis Summit. The event, held in November of 2007, was attended by President Bush, Secretary of State Rice, and several European, Middle Eastern and Israeli heads of State. The ramification of the recent Hezbollah attacks and the situation in Iran, in light of the prophecies in the biblical book of Daniel, are covered in this book.

Reviews - What do customers think about Israel The Church And The Jews?
Indispensable. A magnificent and timely study. Apr 29, 2008
Every once in a while, a book comes along that is absolutely indispensable and which the reader deeply wishes they had encountered many, many years ago.
As someone who suffered for some time from what I personally consider to be the erroneous teachings of "replacement theology", and who only arrived at a correct understanding of Scripture through a long, lonely and prayerful study/reading of the entire Holy Bible in it's full context, I find it impossible to over-emphasise the value of this study.
In this powerful, absorbing book, the learned author addresses profound, and sadly contentious issues, such as the prophetic purposes of God for Israel and the Jews relative to the Church, and also to the present day, with both courage and clarity.
The writer, the founder of Moriel Ministries, also emphasises the importance of the preaching of the Gospel to the Jews, and underlines the fact that ultimately it is Jesus, He and He alone, who can and will save Israel.
With an encyclopaedic knowledge and an incisive style of argument based upon a thorough understanding of the Scriptures, the author takes to task the errors of "replacement theology" and also discusses a plethora of immensely relative and timely matters such as Christian Zionism, anti-Zionism, Christian anti-Semitism, Roman Catholicism and Islam to mention but a few.
Many named teachers who have a relevance in these areas are criticised or praised, and some readers may find some comments to be harsh at times. I would encourage such to read any criticism in it's full context in order that the genuine love and concern of the writer can be fully understood.
The book contains so much information that it is impossible to do justice to it's content within the confines of a review.
Suffice to say that in relation to Islam, the study fundamentally rejects Islam as being incompatible with the Judeo-Christian Scriptures. What is described as the "irrational attitudes of the nations regarding the state of Israel" is cited as part of a spiritual battle within the "end times", whereby a blind eye is turned not only to Scriptural truth but also to indisputable archaeological and historical records which prove categorically that the Jews alone are in fact the indigenous people of the Land of Israel. At the same time the writer clarifies the history of the Palestinians and their own history in the region.
All of the matters addressed in this book are very close to my heart and issues which I have spent a considerable amount of time studying and debating. Indeed I have read scores of books surrounding the main subjects dealt with but rarely, if ever, have I encountered such a valuable study as this.
I agree with the author's interpretation of Scripture throughout this work and his appraisal of current events is, in my humble opinion, not only accurate but admirable to say the least. I would even venture to describe it as a breath of fresh air.
The book is divided into four main sections each with a number of sub-sections of it's own as follows;-
THE PEOPLE Who are the Jews ? Who are the Palestinians ? Jewish Arab reconciliation in Christ. The Curse of Obadiah.
THE MESSIAH. A Prophet like Moses. One Messiah Two Comings. The Metatron. Jesus in the Talmud.
THE MESSIAH'S PEOPLE - THE JEWS. Seventy Weeks of Daniel. End of the Gentile Age. Book of Ruth.
THE MESSIAH'S PEOPLE - THE CHURCH. Seduction of the Hebrew Root Movement. Christian Zionism. Romans 11 - Replacement Theology. New Galatians.
This is indeed a magnificent and timely study that I cannot recommend highly enough.
I would also respectfully recommend by "The Destiny of Israel and the Church" by Derek Prince.
