Item description for King Davey and the Royal Tunes (Pick-Up-N-Do) by Mary Grace Becker...
Overview This fabulous book in the Pick Up 'n' Do series gives your kids 40 minutes to 1 1/2 hours of solid Bible teaching and serious discipleship on Israel's greatest king ever - without hours of teaching preparation. As God's top choice, young David went from shepherd boy to sovereign ruler - and he loved to pluck the harp as well! Follow David as he is anointed King, fight Goliath, finds a friend in Jonathan, flees from a jealous Saul and more! Lessons on the power and praise of Psalms 23, 24 and 51 are also included. Two options let teachers take the lesson from super simple to more challenging. For an "instant" lesson teach the Bible 4U and Shepherd's Spot sections. And the optional Workshop Wonders stretches each lesson with a craft, science or food activity. Teach your young believers what it means to be faithful disciples with this all-in-one resource!

Reviews - What do customers think about King Davey and the Royal Tunes (Pick-Up-N-Do)?
Fun & easy to prepare!! May 7, 2007
This is a fun book of Bible lessons for groups of younger children. We are using it for 4 yr olds through 3rd graders, and it adapts easily for all those ages. There are cute skits & plays to be put on by the students impromptu when they get to class or prepared earlier by a drama troup. The author thoughtfully included prep ideas for either adaptation. We will look for more from this author!!
