Publishers Description How could God use me when I had so much work to do on myself? I'm not one of those people that is blessed with a speedy metabolism or good genes. Now that I'm in my 50's, it's a bit more challenging but not impossible. This is not another one of those diet, fitness or workout books. My guess is, this isn't the first self-help or fitness book you have picked up. Most of us know about basic nutrition and fitness but something is missing. We look to food to heal our wounds or give up on exercise because we don't see results immediately. Our bodies are the Temple of the Holy Spirit and therefore we are called to be a good steward of what God has entrusted us with. I want to help you make a complete transformation in your body, your health, and your spirit. It doesn't matter what kind of shape you are in right now. Never, ever give up on yourself. Be encouraged, be blessed and, be a blessing Psalm 20:4 (New International Version) 4 May he give you the desire of your heart and make all your plans succeed. Phyllis Ward is currently working in Iraq serving the military by providing sports, fitness, and recreation programs. She is a published author and continues to coach her clients to excellence. Phyllis' mission is to help everyone that she can reach to live up to their God given potential. Her personal power statement is; "I'm lean, fit, healthy and strong. I am God's Temple."

One step at a time and I am there! Jan 8, 2009
This is not your typical self-help or diet book. This is a book that takes you through a total transformation using 40 insightful steps. The total transformation is not just about your body, but it includes your health and spirit as well as the way you are living your life to fulfill your dreams. Phyllis' writing makes you feel as though she is right there with you guiding you from one step to the next and bringing you closer to believing in and caring for "Your Temple" the one that God has given you to be your best.
When I finished this book I felt a closer connection with myself and with God. I was more empowered to move forward with life. I would recommend this book to anyone who wants to start living a more fulfilling life; a life in which you will feel more present, more alive, more in-tuned with their body. And the best gift of all is you will become more connected with God.
