Delicious and Uncomplicated Jul 23, 2008
I have several of Phyllis Pellman Good's books for slow-cookers. Imagine my delight when I spotted this one featuring all kinds of recipes for the stovetop and oven.
On a weekly basis, this will be one of the cookbooks I use for my dinner menus. The recipes are tried and true. They have easy-to-find ingredients and many include variations for the more adventurous cook to try out.
When I have made a dish using a recipe from any cookbook, I make a note whether it was good or not. I also may include my own variations. This book is full of my own notes stating how wonderful this or that recipe is.
The only item missing is a picture for the recipe but if pictures were included in any of her books, she wouldn't be able to give us so many great recipes in one edition.
Wonderful! Jul 9, 2008
The recipes in this book are really easy to fallow. I don't have to go out and buy any special ingredients usually have everything in my pantry.
I love it! Jul 28, 2007
This is a great cookbook for the "normal" everyday cook. I have tried 7 receipes and each has been delicious! I have had all the ingredients at home (didn't have to run for something special). I have many cookbooks and this is one of my favorites! Enjoy!
Easy to read cookbook Mar 25, 2007
Great recipes, that are easy to follow. Easy enough that if you have never cooked before you could use this book and have the meals come out right.
Every kitchen should have one Jan 9, 2007
This is a wonderful reference, whether you're brand new to cooking or like myself, have been around the kitchen for 50 years. Most all of the recipes use ingredients that you normally have in your cupboards. When I get a new cookbook, I read them like a novel and check the ones I want to try. There's so many checks, I don't know where to start!
