Reviews - What do customers think about Spelling Workout, Level B (Student Edition)?
Great workbook May 3, 2009
I'm homeschooling my 5 year old and we're using Workout B. I love the way it's laid out with the spelling rule at the top and plenty of ways to review the word list; group by spelling rule, crossword, alphabetize, finding the opposite. After she has completed the workout she thoroughly knows the words. We do one lesson per day if she gets the pre-test right. If she misses any we repeat it the next day. It also has a writing assignment for each list which is great. I will definitely continue with this series.
I think its a great book Oct 19, 2008
I think this book is great, I use this one and the level A book as well. I also use additional spelling resources but this book can stand on its own. I have my oldest son write down the pep talks to help him remember the rules, I haven't found anything else on the market that comes close for me for homeschoolers.
Perfect for homeschooling Jan 10, 2008
This book is very easy to follow. Each chapter has a short story in the beginning that uses the list words for that chapter. It also has some dictionary work. What comes between X and X in the dictionary (in the back of the book). Toward the end it introduces cursive writing alongside of the printed word. Overall an easy to follow and easy to use book.

I found this book to be very helpful in that it is easy to follow for student and parent. I used both the 1st and 2nd grade books. In our case, these were to be used as review tools this and the 1st grade speller accomplished that. Our daughters needs were served but because she already knew the work, it did not challenge her, so in all honesty I cannot give a better assessment of this book.
I Love This Spelling Book May 1, 2003
As a homeschool Mom, I have never been happy with any of the spelling books I've used in the past. They were always too much. This book is just right -- the right words, the right amount of work, and the right content that holds my son's attention. I use "The Well Trained Mind" method and this works beautifully with it.
