Vischer founded GRAFx Studios 1989, after buying animation software, in order to produce animated commercials and logos. From 1993 to 2002, Vischer led the company as lead director and writer. In 2003 (after the release of Jonah) Big Idea went bankrupt, and Vischer sold the company to Classic Media and left the company.

In 2005 he started Jellyfish Labs a new creative workshop where he produces faith-based projects. In 2007 Vischer expanded the company by launching JellyTelly. Starting in 2010, Vischer produced What's In The Bible, a direct-to-DVD video series using puppetry and animation to present biblical material using a news-broadcast format and puppet characters. Vischer still works on VeggieTales as a scriptwriter and voice actor, as well as serving as Big Idea's president under a contract by Classic Media. He currently lives in Wheaton, Illinois with his wife Lisa and two daughters, Sydney and Shelby, and his son, Jeremy.

You'll laugh and your kids will learn from Vischer's latest book  Apr 18, 2007
Phil Vischer, creator of VeggieTales, brings us the perilous tale of 47 beavers. Yes, folks you read that correctly - beavers. Written in an amusing most-of-the-time rhyming format, kids will love this exciting adventure story as these tenacious beavers escape an evil fur trapper in a canoe, battle the raging sea and a shark, and eventually set up a tourist resort in Hawaii. All while working together and using the philosophy "two minds are better than one and 47 are better than two!"

You will find yourself laughing along with your kids the whole way through. Kids too young to enjoy the story will still be captured by the bright and colorful pages and expressiveness of the beavers and their adversaries. Book includes a sing-along CD.

One word of warning: Not for the parent who frowns on imagination.
Just learning fun  Mar 26, 2007
This humorous story teaches kids about teamwork and how important it is to stick together in adversity. Children will love the rhymes.
