Insight and More Jan 2, 2010
This is a great devotional, and not just because Jay asked me to put my verse in here. I'm really amazed at the continuity of leaders and "normal" people in the pews who have been touched by God's Word. This is an excellent devotional for all ages.
Inspirational Easy Read Nov 22, 2007
This book is a wonderful compilation of anecdotes that celebrate the significance of God's Word in our day-to-day lives. Each devotional nugget - and its corresponding verse - is presented in a one-page format. A refreshing way to begin or end each day.
What a great idea Oct 19, 2007
How interesting to read people's testimonies of how the Word affects their lives. How faith-building. That's why I jumped at the chance to contribute my favorite verse, (other than salvation verses,) Acts 10:38, "how God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and power...." It reminds me we have the same power source the Son of God had when he walked this earth! In this book, on March 29, I have the pleasure of sharing how it touched me to see it on a wall clock--10:38. And a few minutes later, it was *still* on the wall clock--10:38. It sounds unbelievable, but it's true. Only the Lord knows how long or when that clock stopped. All I know is, it really caught my attention in a very special time and place I had wanted to visit all my life and finally did--Jerusalem. God just loves to bless His kids and say through the little things, "Hi, I'm here. I love you."
