Item description for Daily Life in Bible Times: What Archaeology Tells Us by Pamela Gaber & Valerie Woelfel...
The Bible tells the story of the people and events which laid the foundation of three great faiths. But what of the many other people who lived in this long ago time? What would your life be like if you were one of them? Where would you live? What would you eat? How would your life be different, and the same, from what we know today? How would your day be passed and how do we use archaeology to answer these questions?

The Real Thing from Real Archaeologists Sep 6, 2007
In simple and straightforward language, illustrated with lively drawings and vivid color photographs, Dr. Gaber and Ms. Woelfel have provided an excellent portrait of everyday reality of life in the biblical world. Along the way, they also give a picture of how we know what we know about the Bible and its people. As the author of many books for children and especially books about the Bible and the Torah, I can honestly say that this is a great book for children and adults to share. Even better, no matter what level you are on, you will surely learn something new. Kudos to the authors!
