Item description for Storm Warnings (Storm Warnings #2) by Pam Llamas...
Overview In the midst of catastrophic and cataclysmic events, three groups of people from Phoenix and Flagstaff come together in Payson, Arizona. A mega-solar flare causes a terrible heat wave and temperatures soar. With a power outage, the world isn't ready for anything like this, and chaos ensues. Martial law is instituted, with the UN taking over the policing of the world. Great earthquakes, unprecedented meteor showers, and worldwide volcanic activity continue to bombard the earth. Food is scarce, and the world economy takes a dive. The San Francisco Peaks suddenly erupt, destroying Flagstaff. The small group finds solace, and tries to make a difference in a world gone crazy. In the midst of all this, some in the group find love and romance. After the sudden disappearance of many people, graves are found empty, planes fall out of the sky, and cars careen into anything in their path when their drivers disappear. The world stands on the edge of the abyss. There are storm warnings everywhere, but no one realizes they are in the midst of it until it's too late. Do you see the Storm Warnings? Will it overtake you? Will you be caught unaware, and be left behind?

Author's comment Mar 21, 2005
My name is Pam Llamas, and I wrote Storm Warnings. It is the first book in a series of 8 books about the end times. This is not about weather. It is fiction, but I took what the Bible said and added the characters and how they dealt with the beginning of the Tribulation, and the Rapture, and the beginning of the end. I just wanted to say that the Lord instructed me to write these, and I hope you take the time to read Storm Warnings, and then Caught Up in the Storm. Blessings, Pam Llamas
Could happen today Apr 17, 2003
I though the everyday characters were good. I could relate with them. I could see how the things that happened in the book could happen today. I especially liked the last chapter, and how they disappeared with just a little pile of clothes. I felt I could travel to Payson and see the things that were described. This is a good book, and I recommend it to everyone. When is the next one coming out?
