Item description for Riding Godzilla by P. S. Foley...
Overview Eleven-year-old Cassie starts working at a local riding school after her father dies, and there she meets Godzilla, a famous jumping horse that turned wild after an accident, and their friendship changes both their lives.
Publishers Description Godzilla was once a magnificent jumping horse, the pride of The North Dallas Riding Academy. But after an unfortunate accident, when Sunny, his filly "sweetheart," was killed, he turned wild and crazy. Since then he has been locked in a shed, lonely, desperate and dangerous.Cassie was eleven years old when her father died on the Fourth of July. Deep in debt, she and her mother lost their house, and moved into a small trailer home, just up the hill from the equestrian center. Cassie found an after-school job at the center to help support the family. Thus begins the heartwarming tale of friendship and adventure between the young girl and a powerful horse. Written with sensitivity and insight, Riding Godzilla is a vivid tribute to the healing power of compassion. As Cassie and Godzilla discover the secrets of becoming champions, readers--young and old--learn a gentle lesson in overcoming adversity, the importance of determination, and the close bond we share with all God's creatures.

This book is amazing!!!! Once I started it I could not put it down. It makes you cry but then it makes you smile. It shows that perserverance and a little bit of philosophy can do great things. This book really shows the meaning of never give up, no matter what the conditions are, there is always hope. It's just a heartwarming story that should be read by all.
