Reviews - What do customers think about The Gift Of Acabar?
Pure garbage Aug 10, 2006
My high-school english teacher made us read and write a book report on this crappy, uninteresting book years ago. Its simplistic, useless "lessons" and its sappy plot make it much like the rest of Og Fagdino's output.
Excellent Jul 22, 2006
I have read everyone of Og Mandinos Books and all I can say is that he writes with brilliance, clarity, enthusiasm, and spirit. You can never go wrong with any of his books. He points out the path to success and motivates the spirit within to achieve all that we as human beings are capable. He helped me to tap into my innate genuis and create a life of prosperity and creativity. If you havent raed his books, start now and your journey of the spirit will begin. He was a born writer and even after his passing continues to have a great influence on many people old and young. He truly lived a purposeful and divine life. Go buy all his books and enjoy the growth and enlightenment. After that Buy my Book " Your daily Walk with the Great Minds of the Past and Present". Enjoy and rememeber you are capable of great things in your life.
Timeless story, beautifully written Apr 17, 2006
A friend lent me this book knowing that it will be a source of great inspiration to me...and she was right. The Gift of Akabar is just simple beautifully. The story pulls at our heart strings with it's bitter sweet twists and turns and penetrates our own preconcieved notions of life, touching our intellect that dares to believe. The message in this book is priceless and I would recommend to anyone.
Tulo Mattis'es Lessons Feb 9, 2005
Tulo Mattis overcomes. He is crippled in a fluke reindeer accident, which kills his father. His mother dies suddenly months later. He is left to provide for himself and his sister. Star Acabar teaches Tulo to quit feeling sorry for himself. Tulo saves his village from devastation in the worst snow storm in history through unselfish giving. A great lesson for all. Another great Mandino book! Love it! Dillo Books
A Heart Warmer and Tear Jerker Jun 18, 2004
This is one of my favorite books. I will frequently grab this book if I am going on a short trip. The characters are real and the story is nice. It is a parable of the importance of those around us and of loving ourselves. A very good read.
