Reviews - What do customers think about Your Fondest Annie: Letters from Annie O'Donnell to James P. Phelan 1901-1904 (Classics of Irish History)?

Rare Treasure  Aug 24, 2007
I found this book when searching for a gift for my wife, both of us proud to be Irish. Reports on the Irish experience in America seem to be omnipresent, "you seen one..." and all that. Indeed, this is a collection of letters, no more, no less. The letters are a window to what you might have said if you thought of it that time you described your trip but didn't quite get it right. An excellent introduction does help take the edge off the fact that there aren't many actual letters.
