Reviews - What do customers think about Partnership with Christ: A Cistercian Retreat (Monastic Wisdom series)?

Partnership with Christ: A Cistercian Retreat (Monastic Wisdom series)  Sep 16, 2009
I read this book over the summer of 09. It is a scholarly work, written by an expert on the subject matter with notes and bibliography. I found it to be a fascinating work that turned my mind to deep reflection on the Gospel and Rule of Saint Benedict. The book is a written account of a retreat given to the monks of Holy Spirit Monastery in Conyers, Georgia by Eugene Boylan - a deceased abbot of a European Cistercian monastery who had worked as a scientist before entering monastic life. The monks considered it one of the best retreats they ever had and I can understand why. It is relevent for all who live in community - even those of us whose community is a family, spiritual or otherwise. Partnership with Christ: A Cistercian Retreat (Monastic Wisdom series)
