Reviews - What do customers think about NIV Scofield Study Bib III Cent Ed-Burgundy/Tan Im?
Excellent study bible Dec 14, 2009
First, this bible is better than the picture the publishers show you. The page edges are gilded and the books of the bible are thumb indexed. I have had several study bibles, but I like this one in particular very much. The notes and column references, in particular the chain references, provide a very cohesive reference for an individual passage. Instead of notes and center column references appearing random and unconnected, these are arranged into a system in order to give you fuller picture of the passage or word you are referencing. There is not, however, a study not or column reference for every verse, like a lot of study bibles. I did not know that when I bought this, but still like it better than my regular NIV study bible.
In addition, this is also just a beautiful bible. The page edges are gilded, which they don't tell you, and the books are thumb indexed, which I find very helpful, and better than having to buy your own bible tabs. The Text is not too small and very easy to read. It has a good weight to it, it is standard study bible size, and overall very high quality, especially for the this site price of 31.49.
My Favorite Aug 7, 2009
I have always wanted a Scofield Bible, and when I saw this one on the this site website, I took advantage of it because it was a great price. I haven't been disappointed in it, in fact it is my favorite Bible. The printing is easy to read, is a very nice size to carry, not heavy to carry and is in really nice leather binding.
