Reviews - What do customers think about The Rolling Stones: Quotes / Trivia (Heroes)?
Not quite what I had expected... Dec 27, 2009
I bought this for two reasons:Number One,I consider myself to be the Ultimate Rolling Stones fan and am always interested in acquiring new material, such as books, relating to the band,no matter how juvenile the books are,and Number Two,the price was cheap.Well, this is definitely one instance where I got what I paid for. There are absolutely no photographs to be found in this book, save for the one of Mick Jagger on the cover(which, admittedly,is not a very flattering portrait).Furthermore, the book does not contain any text, just random quotes from band members, all of which can probably be found in the much superior(albeit more expensive)book,"According to the Rolling Stones"(apparently, the Stones' answer to the Beatles' "Anthology" book).I thought that I was the type of fan who had to have absolutely everything on the Stones, but I guess that I'm not.I have absolutely no use for this book.It will remain unread by me and I am now trying to sell my copy.Lastly, the tiny size of the book(I'm not just talking about the pages(only 64),the thing is actually very small)indicates that it was produced by the publishers to make a fast buck out of unwitting Stones fans like myself.I only wish that I had read somebody else's review and did some more item research before making my purchase. There is definitely no use for this mere "product" on the marketplace.
