Item description for The Courtyard by Natalie Kirkpatrick...
Overview Johannes Rath writes about the wonderful, strange, and unexpected ways of God's dealing in people's lives from his experience as director of "Haus des Heils" (House of Healing). His own life, as he describes in one vignette and mentions in others in this book, is truly a series of miracles. He tells about spiritual, mental, and physical healing in the lives of people. There are stories about repentance, recovery from addictions, restitution for fraudulent gains after confession and conversion, marriages made whole again, and God's intervention in the gamut of human failures and afflictions. In all of this, Johannes gives credit and glory to JESUS alone. His life's motto is: To God Be the Glory!

recommended reading for all young men(everyone) Mar 11, 2008
A story of boys becoming men. This novel reminded me of the things in life so many of us take for granted, like the love of a father. My father as present in our home and a big part of my life. He has gone home to be with our Lord, it was only after reading about Lisa and her father that I understand how much he truly ment to me. I can only hope to be half the man he was. I look forward to her next novel.

Wow! what a blessing this book was off the hook. It was not predictable at all. It kept me guessing what was going to happen next. I couldn't not put this book down. I can't wait for the next one.
Truly An Inspiration!!! Aug 8, 2004
The Courtyard by Natalie Kirkpatrick is a must read for everyone!!! This book is so intriguing, and it keeps you thirsting for more. I personally couldn't put "The Courtyard" down. You are drawn into the book and feel like you're actually experiencing the pain and joy of all the characters. It really makes you look and reflect on your life in a different way. This book helps you to learn about forgiveness and that if you have faith in God, he will bring you through every trial and tribulation. Hopefully, there will be a sequel. I can't wait to read what happens next. Congratulations and Great Job, Natalie!!!!
What A Blessing!! Aug 5, 2004
Bravo for Natalie Kirkpatrick!! She exploded out of the gate with her first novel and I don't think she will be looking back. The Courtyard was a wonderful spiritual journey. I realize that this was a novel, but it digs so much deeper into your soul that you find yourself evaluating life as you know it, as you identify with the cast of lively and colorful characters. It teaches, it heals, it empowers you to forgive yourself and others in a loving way. If you've been hurt or gone through some "failures" in life (and who hasn't), this book is a must read. It will change you from within!
