Reviews - What do customers think about Kingdom Parenting?
Raising Godly Children Mar 26, 2007
Excellent Book about how to raise godly children. We should have had this book 30 years ago.
You can be a mother or a father and still not be a parent. To be a good parent begins with God. A parent has the most influence in childrens lives.
Our primary purpose of parenting is to produce righteous and Godly children for God. We are to raise up a child in the way they are to go, and when they are older they will not depart from it.
We as parents need to know the way first before we can teach it to our children. Training children benefits both parents and the child. Children benefit because it prepares them for life. Parents benefit because well-trained, well-raised children return to bless, honor and respect them.
Parenting was so important to God that he chose to send his Son to earth as a human child entrusted to the care and rearing of human parents. If we do our part in raising our children, God will do his part.
Hands on Blueprint for Christian Parents Mar 25, 2007
Today's parents face opportunity and challenge every day as their children move from the cradle to college, from toddler to teen. In this collaborative effort Myles Munroe has joined with David Burrows to provide parents with this guide book on Christian parenting.
Myles Munroe established foundational goals for parenting, with principles for training children in matters of behavior and discipline. David Burrows concentrates on building relationships with your teenagers and introduces some "connecting principles" for establishing these relationships.
An excellent, helpful, study guide is included prepared by Jan Sherman. These probing questions for self assessment help the reader assimilate the material to take the appropriate steps to interact with other family members.
The guide is rich in providing relevant Scriptures and Biblical principles for parenting. The study guide is also suitable for use in a study group with other parents, or for interactive family study.
Suggestions for a parenting scrapbook and a teen scrapbook are also provided. Pages for journaling and notes help the reader take personal ownership of these foundational principles. The narrative is written in crisp style, with clarity, and well organized, to help the reader identify with the challenge and apply the solution.
Pastors, lay counselors, youth leaders, and children's workers, will want to read, study, and pass along this guide, "Kingdom Parenting," to team members in their ministries and to every parent within their scope of influence. This book is timely, important, and relevant.
