Reviews - What do customers think about Welcome to the Club: The Art of Jewish Grandparenting?

bridging the generation & cultural-literacy gap in harmony  Dec 19, 2007
Considering who might even be looking for such a book (readers who are educated and identify Jewishly or who have grandchildren who will be raised as Jews, but who need a filler-course in Jewish cultural literacy) - this book is filled with conveniently-organized, quality data. The target audience of the book does not seem to be grandparents who already keep a traditionally-, religiously-involved lifestyle.
Besides smoothing the unavoidable friction due to differences in child-rearing psychology, this book bridges gaps between the generations and levels of cultural literacy, and will help everyone get on the same page and set the stage for the grandchildren to experience their Jewish with the best possible harmony.
Not for all Jewish grandparents  May 16, 2006
This book should have been subtitled "the art of assimilated jewish grandparenting" or "how to keep your granchildren a little bit Jewish". If you're looking for a book about that buy it. If you're looking for a nice book about how to grandparent a nuclear, jewishly oriented family, look elsewhere.
