Item description for Quotable Rudy: Words of Insight, Savvy, and Survival by and about Rudy Giuliani, A Mayor for America (Potent Quotables) by Monte Carpenter...
Rudy Giuliani was named Time magazine's 2001 Person of the Year, and it's no wonder. He was the courageous and inspirational leader who emerged shaken but not deterred from the smoldering ruins left behind in the aftermath of the September 11 terrorist attacks on New York City's World Trade Center. His hands-on actions and soothing words comforted not only a shocked, grieving city but a nation as well. Frequently brash and occasionally confrontational, Giuliani attacked and drastically reduced crime in New York City, among his numerous accomplishments. This compilation of about 300 quotes by and about the now-former mayor and rising political star tackles dozens of compelling topics.

Fun and informative! Mar 12, 2002
I knew Rudy G. was an interesting guy with a lot of candor, but this book shows just how insightful and even humorous he can be. There are something like 300 quotes in the book from over the last ten years or so, most of them taken from Rudy's many speeches, press releases, website columns, and puboiched articles about him. I especially loved his quotes about 9/11 and his prostate cancer. This is THE book to have if you want a great memento on the most famous mayor in America of the last decade.
