More About Moleskine
Moleskine was created as a brand in 1997, bringing back to life the legendary notebook used by artists and thinkers over the past two centuries: among them Vincent van Gogh, Pablo Picasso, Ernest Hemingway, and Bruce Chatwin.
A trusted and handy travel companion, the nameless black notebook held invaluable sketches, notes, stories, and ideas that would one day become famous paintings or the pages of beloved books. Today, the name Moleskine encompasses a family of nomadic objects: notebooks, diaries, journals, bags, writing instruments and reading accessories, dedicated to our mobile identity. Indispensable companions to the creative professions and the imagination of our times: they are intimately tied to the digital world.
Since January 2007, Moleskine has also become the name of the company that owns the worldwide trademark rights for the brand. Moleskine SpA creates, produces, and distributes not only the well-known notebooks and their various offshoots, but also a series of objects for the creativity of the contemporary nomad. The company grew out of the experience of Modo&Modo, a small Milanese publisher that in 1997 created the Moleskine trademark, rediscovering and renewing an extraordinary tradition. In the fall of 2006, Modo&Modo was purchased by SGCapital Europe, now Syntegra Capital, with the objective of fully developing the potential of the Moleskine brand.
Moleskine SpA is a small and creative company enjoying continuing growth. It now has about one hundred employees and a vast network of partners and consultants. Its home office is in Milan, Italy. Its affiliates are Moleskine America, Inc, with offices in New York, established in early 2008, and Moleskine Asia, Ltd, with offices in Hong Kong, established in late 2011.

Reviews - What do customers think about Moleskine Address Book Pocket?
Junk - beware, made in China May 25, 2010
Moleskine used to be a fantastic product. How that has changed! The one I received fell apart within 24 hours of receipt, due to the binding glue cracking. The country of origin was conveniently missing from the packaging, but a little researched confirmed my suspicions.
In an effort to save a few pennies, the greedy execs at Moleskine have destroyed yet more good first world jobs and shipped production of their now substandard product to a slave factory in China.
Thank God for this site's return policy! Steer clear of this worthless product as quality has once again fallen victim to corporate greed.
Binding comes apart too soon! Sep 8, 2009
I bought this book because of the size, simple ruled lines with no other format on page, laminated index, hard cover, plenty of pages and very important to me - an elastic band to keep it closed in my purse.
Alas, it did not hold up to ordinary daily use. After less than 18 months, the sewn binding started to loosen and now (26 months after purchase) the book is in 4 separate sections. At least the elastic band keeps those sections sort of together.
I have asked others and they seem to have had similar experiences. I would have rated it zero stars if I could figure out how to leave zero stars in this forum.
NOT just for Addresses- Use for ANY LISTS/COLLECTIONS May 29, 2009
This is a great little book. I love Moleskine ! If you've never had a Moleskine, some of the added extras are an attached bookmark, attached elastic closure and an expandable pocket on the back cover you can place something and not have it fall out of the notebook or Address book :) ! My husband and I both use the Address book for different reasons. It is nicely divided with each letter of the alphabet having a few pages. I bought mine to keep track of books I want to read, have read or bought. I like many mystery series and I can list all the books by Author and look them up when we shop at used bookstores. My husband uses his for miscellaneous information. I think I need another :) It would be great to keep track of any collection such as music, DVDs, books, quotes, hobby information etc. It is so handy because it is so small and easy to carry around. I also LOVE my weekly Planner in pocket size. I think they are doing themselves a disservice by calling it an Address book and not presenting it as a book for addresses or any collection. I'm sure many of you can come up with some very creative uses.
