Reviews - What do customers think about Dragon Knights #4?
Humor balanced with tragedy Jul 4, 2003
Although at first glance this Dragon Knights may seem to be a light comedy/fantasy (as Tokyopop labeled it), the plot soon thickens to unprecedented proportions and horrificly seductive twists. Expect to encounter numerous deaths, cold-hearted villians, and demonic possesions--sprinkled throughout with laughs. The deeper you delve into this fantastic manga, the more obsessed you become! The plot branches off in too many directions to count, and rereading is often neccessary to understand. Subtly implied hints are more common than direct explanations, so read every word carefully--it counts in the long run.
In this particular volume of Dragon Knights, Viaresu (Bierrez) has returned, but this time with a whole army of demons at his disposal. The Demon Bible has proven truly useful--and not only that, for Viaresu has enlisted the help of its creator, the Demon Alchemist Kharl. But are the powers Kharl endows Viaresu with a gift or curse? Events quickly take a fatal turn for the worse as Cesia's very life is endangered and Viaresu's true motivations are revealed.
Only one more note to add (slightly spoiler): A certain youkai dies in this volume. x.x Evilevilevil...my favorite character, too...*sob* How cruel...and Tokyopop didn't even translate his name right! *Stabs said publisher* Grrrrr...ish VIARESU...
A great book, but very frustrating! Jun 4, 2003
First off, i just wanna say that i thoroughly enjoyed this book, it's got lots of adventure and a lot of things going on, and a good deal of suspense also. The only problem with this book is that basically everything is a mystery, so you have to buy the next book to start clearing things up, and i don't have a lot of money to buy the next books right away and i really want to know what happens next and what everything means! Why is Rath dying? What is his true form? What secret is he keeping from Rune and Thatz? Kai-Stern says that Rath hates him? How are Rath and Bierrez connected? Why couldn't Bierrez kill Cesia? What will happen in Thatz and Kitchel's journey? Will Rune be able to save the Faerie lands and Tintlet?......I have all these questions and many more just from this one book!! You can see why I'm frustrated, but it's definately in a good way! I would recommend this to anyone and everyone, i can't wait to see what happens in the next book, and get some answers to all these questions i have!!!
