Item description for Madman Adventures Collection by Mike Allred...
Yes, it's that Madman! Who else? Oni Press is proud to be reprinting the second mini-series in full-color! Originally released by Tundra, the trade paperback of these comics went out-of-print quite some time ago, leaving new Mike Allred fans (the folks who jumped on board with X-Force and The Atomics) floundering. They wanted to know all about Frank Einstein, but they couldn't make it happen. Now, they can! And this is the cool one, too, where Madman goes back in time and you get to see Mike draw cool dinosaurs and stuff. This is history, folks. You need to know it to understand the present. Plus, this edition features a new cover, the color version of the first ever Frank Einstein story, and a special gallery section!

Reviews - What do customers think about Madman Adventures Collection?
One of the greats Jan 2, 2002
First off, I'd like to explain some things to the casual Madman reader. This is NOT the beginning of the series and, as such, will not include the origin or anything like that. But you do get some extremely interesting material. A collection of the second series (ironically entitled Madman Adventures), this is some of the best material available in comics today. Also includes an introduction by Mike Allred himself.
SIX stars! No, SEVEN!! Jun 22, 2001
Madman is the ginchiest! With this collection Mike and Laura Allred are just hitting their stride: the writing is tremendous, the art is superb, and the story makes you deeply care about this peculiar anti-hero who always seems just on the verge of chickening out. I highly recommend this book -- you'll read it at least a dozen times!
A must for any comic book fan Jun 18, 2000
Mike Allred is the man who made comic books fun again. His art simply has no pretension and also does the story. That's what makes it so fantastic. Madman is one of the greatest comic book characters created in the 90s and you must be nuts not to buy this book.
