Reviews - What do customers think about Momentum for Life: Sustaining Personal Health, Integrity, and Strategic Focus as a Leader?
Worth the Read Nov 10, 2007
I had my whole church staff read this book. It prompted some serious reflection and life changes in myself and several staff members. Then I had a leadership training group read it. It was the 8th book they read in 8 months and they were pretty wiped out on reading books. But they ate it up and considered it to be very challenging for their faith future.
Ready to get past your faith plateau? Sep 24, 2007
We all reach a point in our lives when God is "comfortable", a time when not much is happening - a spiritual plateau. And we all know that this is not where God wants us to be. We need to be always growing spiritually, mentally, emotionally, and physically toward that man or woman that we were created to be. Pastor Slaughter challenges us in this book with a biblical life-model that gets our blood pumping again and sets our hearts back on a productive path for God. This is a great book for a small group study.
Excellent Leadership Disciplines Dec 7, 2006
Momentum For Life is an excellent, well-organized book on leadership by Michael Slaughter of the Ginghamsburg United Methodist Church in Tipp City, Ohio. As a pastor I found that the book offered helpful insights for pastors in both the pastoral and personal realm. I think the book would be helpful to anyone looking for a challenge and a structure for organizing for personal growth.
Great Read! Dec 29, 2005
Just finished reading this book and could not put it down. I thoroughly enjoyed the positive perspectives offered and especially the scriptural relevance. One of the first motivational books I've read that was so scripturally rooted.
