Reviews - What do customers think about Turbulences - French Version of "Airframe"?
this was a big mistake Feb 25, 2008
THIS BOOK IS WRITTEN IN FRENCH and the Note on the this site sales page is so small and inconspicuous that I missed it when ordering so I returned it and got docked A LOT OF MONEY because it was my mistake BUYER BEWARE
Also got the French book by mistake - twice ! Oct 2, 2007
Very annoying. Looks completely like an English book from the description. When it showed up in French and I went through the automated process to return it (including noting on the comments that the book was in French and I don't read French)....they shipped me another French book.
Geez. you would think they could have figured this out by now....
French translation of Crichton's Airframe May 19, 2007
I bought this book together with Airframe. As it was presented in the English section and not mentioned/described as a French book, I thought it was a title I did not know. This does, of course, not take anything away from the quality of Michael Crichton's work, but it made a dent in my trust in the infallability of this site.com. I have enjoyed a very good service in the past, but have not had any response from the company when I pointed out their misplacement of this book in their English section.
Misleading Feb 17, 2007
Wish I had read the reviews before I ordered this Christmas gift for my son. Why would it occur to me that it was in French?????
This is the French version of the novel, "Airframe" Dec 21, 2006
I'm adding this to prevent someone else from making the same mistake. No, this is not a new Michael Crichton novel. this site doesn't mention it (although Barnes & Noble does) but this novel is the French language version of the novel, "Airframe".
If you have read "Airframe" - you probably don't need this book (unless you like reading French). If you haven't read "Airframe" - I suggest going to that book review to read more about it.
