In fact, he felt weightless and free as he watched the pile of suitcases tumble to the ground and land among all the others. Yes, there were other suitcases. Thousands upon thousands of them scattered all over the ground under the cross. Why hadn't he noticed them? Where had they come from?"

We all need stories! Jan 13, 2009
We all need stories! In our lives today we need stories that allow us to extend our imagination and allow us to learn. In Melea Brock's book, Step Inside, her characters allow us to feel that we become part of the stories. From the Stinky Feet people to the Giants, her stories give us the ability to equate our daily walks to theirs. Through their stories we again touch on the "grass is always greener" and how that our "regular world" is often where we really should be. Her story telling weaves us through how we shouldn't carry around all of our prized possessions in a metaphorical suitcase. As we continue to read we understand how our daily walk is important and how through God we need our daily dose of Living Water, and how a grudge is a heavy thing to carry around and by forgiving we can be free of the burden. Melea gives a good perspective of how we hide our sack of dirty laundry (our unfinished business) so that we don't have to deal with it until later. Each story will teach and touch your heart, while enlightening you along the way.
