Item description for When Christ Comes by Max Lucado & Chris Ruleman...
Overview Thoughts about the Second Coming of Christ may raise many questions in our minds, but thinking about it need not paralyze us with fear. After all, it is the same Jesus, who died for our sins and rose again to make us acceptable to God, that ascended that day on the Mount of Olives. It is this same loving Son of God who will come back one day, just as he promsied, to be with us forever. What is there to fear about that? It's a wonderful promise, and it will be a wonderful day when he finaly reappears on earth. Lucado offers a fresh perspective, describing the end of time as the beginning of all good things. A great thinker and a clear, easy-to-read writer, the author beautifully describes the Second Coming as the joyful event that it shall certainly be. Read by Chris Ruleman.
Publishers Description Would you like to discuss the end of time and feel better because of it? "Life with no end? Space with no bounds? And what about Armageddon, the lake of fire, the mark of the beast? Am I supposed to feel good about all this?" If these words could be yours, you aren't alone. There is much about the end of history we don't understand. But while thoughts on the final day will stir our questions, they needn't stir our fears. Regarding that day, Jesus urged, "Don't let your hearts be troubled. Trust in God, and trust in me" (John 14:1). Max Lucado believes the day Christ comes will be the "beginning of the very best." Our primary task is to be prepared and peaceful while we wait. If you have some questions about the end of time...If you have concerns about what will happen to you... If you like to look to the end of times as a source of comfort and not chaos...This is the right audio book for you.

Best Lucado book EVER! Dec 1, 2008
Wow, what an AWESOME experience to read this book. I couldn't stop reading, and then I would go back and read some parts again and again. This has to be the BEST book Mr. Lucado has written.
I read this book while a friend was dying. It couldn't have been a better time to pick this book up and read. It gave me so much joy and hope for my friend that it didn't hurt so much to watch her go. It didn't take away the missing feelings, but it satisfied my urge of wanting to keep her here.
I cannot wait to meet Jesus! It will be an awesome and joyful time for all of us. Thank you Mr. Lucado and God Bless!
A Superb Look At Christ's Return Sep 21, 2008
As odd as it seems, many (including numerous Christians) do not look forward eagerly to Heaven. They view it as a place completely lacking in any fun. This book is a great antidote to that.
Max Lucado conducts a fresh look at Heaven, Christ's return, and even Hell. His insights will fill Christians with hope and longing.
One very interesting and thought provoking part is chapter eight. In this, the author talks about 'sweet surprises' in Heaven. He discusses influences that we can have with people on Earth that will have eternal significance.
Another great section is the one on Hell. Lucado says, 'God does not send people to hell. He simply honors their choice.' He goes on to explain this in a way that is very meaningful and will be helpful to those who struggle with the concept of Hell.
This book is really great for any Christian and any seeker who is thinking about the concepts of Heaven, Hell, eternal life, etc. I would also recommend Heaven and Deadline.
When Christ Comes by Max Lucado Sep 2, 2008
This book was ordered as a gift for a friend who had read my copy earlier. She wanted it for her daughter. They are both pleased. I like Max Lucado's writings. They are clear and simple and easy to assimilate. I have several of his books, which I re-read often. All of them are excellent.

I love Max Lucado. His writings inspire me to be a better person. You can't go wrong with anything he writes be it children's books or adult books.
Max Lucado has a way with encouragement! Jul 7, 2007
Lucado does it again. He takes a topic that is often deeply unsettling for many- the end. When Christ comes. And he takes all our worries and uncertanties gently, understandingly and reassures each one. Things that I've been afraid to admit as a Christian such as being worried about being disappointed when Christ comes (hard to explain until you read the book, but an example would be an expectant mother being disappointed because she wants to raise her baby) ...these things we don't want to admit, Lucado understands. He affirms our feelings. However, he also has a way of turning them around and reminding us of Christ's love. Trust Him.
