Item description for Traveling Light for Mothers by Max Lucado...
Overview This morning, somewhere between your first step on the floor to your last step out the door, you stuffed your bag full. No, not your purse, or a diaper bag, or your child's lunch box, but one created in your mind. And you didn't stuff it with books, band-aids, or baby food-you filled it with burdens. The kind of burdens moms carry. The suitcase of guilt. A sack of discontent. You drape a duffel bag of weariness on one shoulder and a hanging bag of worry on the other. No wonder you're so tired at the end of the day. Toting those kind of bags is exhausting. Why don't you try traveling light? Try it for the sake of those you love so dearly: your husband, your children, your parents. Have you ever considered the impact that excess baggage has on relationships? God wants to use you, you know. But how can he if you're exhausted? Using the comforting message of the twenty-third Psalm, Max Lucado reminds mothers to listen to God's tender voice urging us to release those burdens we were never meant to bear.

Reviews - What do customers think about Traveling Light for Mothers?
One of the best "mother" books Jan 19, 2008
I have read SOOO many books on mothering and found this to be one of the best - very lighthearted and easy to read, yet full of meaty truths we always need to be reminded of. The main life changing truth it showed me was to worry less (my children belong to God), and enjoy life more. I highly recommend it for mothers of all ages!
Relief Nov 27, 2007
Traveling light was a great light read. (no pun intended) It gave a common sense approach to not worrying so much about things out of our control as mothers or just people in general. We tend to worry about everything related to our children forgetting that we are not in control. This book came at a great time in my life that not only helped me as a mom but as a wife, friend, sister, daughter, mom and so on and so on. Put this in your cart.
