Plain talk and a lot of common sense Jan 10, 2007
Max Lucado hits the mark once again with this daily devotional, using scripture & excerpts from his treasure trove of books. It's so easy to pick up Grace for the Moment to get a kick start for the day or to end it with insight and calm. It's not too long nor too short -- always just right! For me, it's like dessert - a sweet treat that I need daily!
Great Day Starter Jan 9, 2007
I've enjoyed this daily devotional for several years now. Max Lucado has the gift of putting Christ's teachings into everyday words and situations that are thought-provoking and challenging. I would recommend this volume as well as others by Lucado to anyone who wants to be in the word daily and, more importantly, looks forward to it!
Grace when you need it! Jan 3, 2007
I begin each day with the inspiring scripture and words in Max Lucado's Grace for the Moment. His reflections on scripture are thought-provoking and timeless and always written in an accessible style. I have recommended this book to many and given it as a gift as well. I look forward to his latest addition to the "daily reflections" library, Volume II. If you've never read Lucado, you will still love this little book. If you use Grace for the Moment, I can guarantee you'll want to buy more of Max. A prolific prophet for today's ever-changing and confusing world. Max reaches out to his reader in a down-to-earth, every-person language that all can relate to, from Bible scholar to one beginning on the journey. Blessings abound from reading this book every day.
A little too short. Nov 10, 2006
This is a perfect coffee table book with very short entries for each day. I originally thought this was going to be a good devotional from Max Lucado, but it is just a collection of 365 short entries. It's a quality purchase if you know what you are buying. Not something to study each day, but only a short collection of thoughts...
