From Modeling to Maturity to Mission Jan 6, 2007
In the last several years, there have been a lot of books written for Christian men about their journey with Christ in this world and the calling that had been given to them. Some have focused on assessing the wounds of the past, others focus on taking on the risks of the future. Out of the Wild's focus is straight forward and insightful by focusing on Christ as the model and what we can learn from his character traits and his life experiences. Matt gives great counsel in this area and provides great insight, along with a plethera of excellent scripture references, on the importance of praying about, finding and investing in a "band of brothers", not simply for one's own selfish notion, but to be a part of God's master plan and integrate into the life stories of other followers of Jesus. What he speaks about is what we are striving for at [...]
