Reviews - What do customers think about An Ambiguous Bliss of Being Blind?
Easy, Entertaining, and Emotional Read Oct 16, 2006
I've never read a play outside of school, so I was a little ambivalent about reading this one. However, a friend highly reccomended it, so I gave it a shot. I LOVED it! The banter between the two characters is so realistic (I could picture these people in my head without even trying). The convertaion is very witty and several times I laughed out loud and read parts to my husband because I thought they were so clever. Don't get me wrong though, there are a lot of sad and frustrating elements to the story also. There is just a nice balance of humor and emotion. This play is quite a quick read...it only took me a couple hours. Once you pick it up, you really will want to read it all the way through. About every 20 minutes while I was reading it, I turned to my husband and said "I can't wait to see this on stage". He thought I was annoying, but really, it's just that good.
