Item description for The T-Factor Fat Gram Counter by Jamie Pope & Martin Katahn...
Overview The book that started a revolution in the way Americans think about what they eat returns in an expanded and completely up-to-date edition. The guide includes a brief overview of the vital diet and exercise principles, and target levels of fat consumption for men and women at varying body weights.
Publishers Description The T-Factor Fat Gram Counter grew out of The T-Factor Diet, the first popular diet book to show that fat was (and is) the major culprit in the American diet. All calories, Dr. Martin Katahn told us, are not created equal: his metabolic studies showed that the fat we consume in our food, as opposed to the carbohydrate and protein, is converted most efficiently to body fat and may lead to such conditions as cancer, hypertension, heart disease, and diabetes. The T-Factor Fat Gram Counter tells you everything you need to know to cut the hidden fat out of your food. It also provides a brief overview of vital diet and exercise principles, and target levels of fat consumption for men and women at varying body weights. Once you understand the role of dietary fat, you are liberated forever from the need to cut calories or even restrict your overall intake of food. Spend a few minutes a day checking the fat levels in various foods and making sensible choices, and you are well on your way to a longer, happier, and healthier life.

Reviews - What do customers think about The T-Factor Fat Gram Counter?
Great Information for the money. Apr 23, 2008
Albeit small this is a great source of information for anyone who is counting calories and fat grams. Even if you're not, you'll be astonished how some of your favorite foods weigh in health wise.
Don't leave home without it! Mar 8, 2008
Whether tracking points for Weight-Watchers or just making a wiser decision at a restaurant, this handy little book helps put nutritional values in perspective. I've carried mine around for eons, just realized there was an updated version.
I keep this with me all the time! Sep 17, 2007
I am on a low fat diet for health reasons, and this is a quick reference book that I can keep in my purse. Very convenient!
This works better than anything else I've tried so far Sep 29, 2006
I'm buying this updated guide for the 2nd time - 12 years ago I lost many pounds that I kept off for over 5 years using this plan. Then after going off and gaining, a few years ago I tried the fad low-carb plan and lost lots of weight and gained back double. So I'm doing this one (T-factor) again because I know it works for me long-term. The little book is great and fits easily in a purse to carry around wherever you go so you can check calories, fat grams etc. and it includes well-known restaurants/fast food items as well, so you can really compare before choosing foods. It's also great for cooking and knowing fat/calories of each ingredient as you prepare your meals.
