Reviews - What do customers think about You Don't Need a Title to Be a Leader: How Anyone, Anywhere, Can Make a Positive Difference?

Right On!  Mar 6, 2007
What a great job Mark Sanborn has done to not only remind us of the importance of first "leading ourselves", but also to demonstrate, in vivid detail, what strong self-leadership actually entails. When we learn to do this well, title-coveting simply becomes a non-issue. Thanks Mark, for another positively impactful book!

Must-Have Handbook for Real Leadership  Mar 3, 2007
Mark Sanborn has created the perfect desk reference for young and experienced leaders alike. For those who are well versed in leadership, this is a concise and inspiring refresher that presents brand new spins and stories instead of the same old regurgitated clichés. For young leaders this is the one book that you must have because it captures the principles of genuine leadership in a way that makes sense with today's dynamic work environments.

Sanborn hits us all square between the eyes early on with the huge question: "if you had no title or ability to reward or penalize could you still get people to follow you?" I strongly encourage all of our team of employees to read this step by step system to make sure the answer to that question is YES.

it's about serving people  Jan 18, 2007
Outstanding refresher for when you, or your employees, are in a "ditch". This book has been required reading for all leaders on my staff, and we are now requiring it for all department employees in 2007.

Change Agent Advice............................Mergers  Jan 13, 2007
Great little book to hand out to your staff if you are going thru a merger or being acquired and colleagues are feeling insecure. Just gets back to the basics of what is leadership.

Clear and concise book on Positive impact  Jan 4, 2007
I like reading books that have the quality of being an easy read. The power of positive outlook and attitude toward work can not be over estimated. The author does not limit the discussion to the business world, but that is the bulk of the focus. It is easy to become self absorbed in the day to day activities without really considering the impacts of our actions. This book draws attention to these details in leadership.
